The Thailand NSTDA Region 9 participated in aquatic weed removal activities using agricultural drones to spray herbicides, in preparation for flood control during the rainy season. The activity took place along the Sri Wichai Canal, Moo 8, Ban Laem San, Makham Sung Subdistrict, Mueang Phitsanulok District, Phitsanulok Province.

On June 15, 2026, Mr. Nimit Kotbua, Director of the Regional Water Resources Office 9, participated in a water source weed removal activity using agricultural drones to spray herbicides, in preparation for flood management during the rainy season. The event took place at the Sri Wichai Canal, Moo 8, Ban Laem San, Makham Sung Subdistrict, Mueang Phitsanulok District, Phitsanulok Province. Mr. Kiattisak Trongsiri, Governor of Phitsanulok Province, presided over the opening ceremony. This water resource management initiative utilizes innovative herbicide technology from the Regional Water Resources Office 62 (RWRO 62) in conjunction with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or agricultural drones for efficient and rapid herbicide application. This aims to prepare for and ensure the safety of the local population during the rainy season.
